This is the announcement for Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 beta 1 nickname Tornado. Being a beta we will not recommend it for production use nor will we maintain it. With some luck and skill, you might be able to swup upgrade it, but a plain reinstall is recommended. We release this distribution to give you a chance to test and comment on it before it evolves into TSL 2.0. We also wish to thank those who tested and gave us valuable feedback on the previous technology previews. We still have a minor list of bugs not yet fixed since technology preview 2, but we consider the changes between the two pre-releases to be too extensive for this beta to be postponed any longer. The first you will notice are some broken dependencies if you do not install everything and a few odd kernels if you do. You can find it on or on your favorite mirror.
